Drove down to the big city to pick up the granddaughter for the weekend , decided to hit the Goodwill, up on the top shelf was this neglected jug ,looked like it came right out of the basement or garage. Spent a total of $5.37 with tax !!!! 8-)

Whoa, that turned up in a Goodwill? It's obviously a score, so congrats! Any ides of age? I found some references to B.K. Block & Company from the 1890s online, but that's about it. Let us know if you find out anything else about the age & company.
I found those references as well but nothing else yet, going to contact the boys in Utah, maybe they can help ?

Deepseeker, thrill, "the spa treatment " no secrets there , my pocket knife ,#0000 steel wool ,mineral spirits , warm soap and water, and a little elbow, the black paint on the front came off slow but fairly easy. I do have a method for removing rust from dug jugs, whink rust remover on a paper towel lay it on the rust to soak then steel wool .

What a great jug, cleaned it up very nice...
Getting one over on GW...priceless!

That's a beautiful jug! I don't know much of anything when it comes to old pottery, but I really like the shape of your jug. Certainly would make a nice show piece. How old?
