I found this clay pipe in the river today! It looks like it says I D? Can anyone tell me how old it might be?

I don't know anything about clay pipes, but I was thinking the letters look like "TD" and here's what I found...

Short version: according to those links, the "TD" pipes appear to be mid-19th to early-20th C... if I'm reading the info right. I might not be, it's still early.

I know that the diameter of the hole on the draw end can help you date it. The smaller the hole the older the pipe. Learned that from the master of colonial finds here on T-Net.
