Until last night we planned to go to the Roman Wood Site, but I couldn't get the recent sites we did where I got the complete Saxon Brooch, out of my mind. It was meant to be a 1 hit wonder, but I felt there was more silver to be had & I was hoping for 1 hammered because this year we tend to have small silver streaks with the odd 1 day blank. I didn't want a 2 day blank which would mess up our rhythm.:laughing7:
The plan was perfect, as they were drilling the nearby fields & would be doing ours tomorrow.
Cru'dad got the monkey off our back with the broken hammered just after the 1 hour point. I got all the other silvers...

A four silver day! :headbang:
Faustina senior? Nose and chin look like...

Crudad will find out. It was a shot from the hip mostly because of the nose, but Julia is also possible with all the different ones. :dontknow:

Wow...You must be needing a warehouse already to store your finds! :notworthy:

Julia Maesa 220-222 AD
Obv: [JVLIA] MAE[SA AVG]
Ref : [SAECVLI FELICITAS] Felicitas sacrificing at Altar and holding long caduceus.

Here details of the Henry II after recording:

''This seems to be Tealby class A. The attached image shows the reverse in the correct orientation, with the inscription apparently ending CO - this might suggest Lincoln or Colchester but that is very uncertain''

I could hardly see any letters, so it makes me laugh that I put the reverse in the right orientation for recording by pure luck.:laughing7:

Great finds. More than once I've discovered that plan B turned out being much more rewarding then plan A could have ever been.

Smashed that silver, your exploits never cease to amaze me.[emoji106]

Wow that’s a super hunt
