Dad & I were meant to spent my last day of holiday finishing Fan's Roman Site. However, a family emergency meant that Dad could only drop me off & pick me up at a nearby Roman Site.
I wasn't expecting that much but after 5 hours (solo) I had a pretty total;

33 Roman Coins
Ed I Hammered (poor)
Tudor Book Clasp
Leather Mount
Roman Locking Pin (terminal) from a secure chest/box

Your recent sites have really been producing Roman coins in large numbers. And with an occasional silver and gold thrown you've definitely been in coin heaven. Keep it up!

You really dig a crazy amount of roman coins the last outings Cru! :icon_thumleft: Isn't it weird that between so many srap coins one nice turns up? Makes me wonder everytime it happens. Was the same with my coin from sunday...

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

You seem to be the keeper of a cross. Any ideas on that. Nice run you have had lately.

It described in a book as the 'knight of the holy sepulchre' cross & is thought to be late medieval. I'm pretty sure 'now' that they are much later, maybe a decorative tack that when on a 19th C box??
