I will be planting garlic in the fall.

TH
Thank you ..
This Hardneck variety is German white.
Check with the garden centers in your area for the best results ..

Planted each garlic clove approximately
3-1/2 to 4 inches deep last November .
They are starting to come up now and each clove should form a complete bulb.
Will dig them up this July
I have been growing garlic since 1989. A famous local grower gave me two bulbs. I felt honored that he gave them to me as he would not give them to anyone. A couple of beers at the local gin mill loosened him up. I have kept this strain going from the original two bulbs. I plant in early Oct and grow about 150 plants. It is the best garlic I have ever eaten and now I am that famous grower.

Congratulations on your success…
I’ve only been planting for a couple seasons now and enjoy the process..
Hopefully I will like to add a few different varieties this Fall while expanding the garden.
Their seems to be a big demand for fresh garlic as the local growers sell out quickly..

Ah that's a sight for sore eyes Bill
Congrats on another successful season ahead in the harvesting of the bulbs.

Mine are still in bed, under a blanket of straw, covered with snow.
Getting close though, the melt is on, getting another inch of rain over the next few days followed by temps bouncing from mid 30's to the mid 50's.

I grow a lot of herbs and vegetables but cannot get garlic to amount to anything. Thanks for posting.

Pepperj..when I removed the heavy coat of shredded straw and seeing the garlic it was a beautiful sight to see as I had thought I had planted way to late last November..
Best of Luck hopefully soon when you are out in the garden you will be rewarded to see them also coming up..
