I ran across this video today and was wondering if any beach hunters have used this tool. I have a metal scoop that is knee length but sure could use something longer and lighter but the long handled ones are close to $150. I checked around and these plastic shovels are about $40-60 and than you have to do some altering to them.

Would only work with really soft/loose sand. Here in So Cal the plastic shovel would break or be unusable in the wet sand (it gets pretty hard packed). I would stick with aluminum or SS.
