"The Sicarii used stealth tactics to obtain their objective. Under their cloaks they concealed sicae, or small daggers, from which they received their name. At popular assemblies, particularly during the pilgrimage to the Temple Mount, they stabbed their enemies (Romans or Roman sympathizers, Herodians, and wealthy Jews comfortable with Roman rule), lamenting ostentatiously after the deed to blend into the crowd to escape detection. Literally, Sicarii meant "dagger-men".

SWR said:þlæbah said:I was not sure what "babbitt" is. Here is an explanation and a link for those of you in the same position...
I think the push for this being "treasure related" is the .02% nickel per bar. Typically, the bars are painted a silver color in hopes to give the illusion the bar has large(er) amounts of nickel.
Added later:
I thought that I would expand this post a tad bit and just warn those who are not sure what babbitt is....because the word "nickel" was embossed on the original product...these bars are actually being reproduced (counterfeited) and solicited as 99% nickel. Below is a picture of some of these items. Again...be careful!!

I would imagine there are financial centers with the market and purchasing power for bullion platinum and babbitt all over Asia.
Is this incorrect?
texastee2007 said:there are many folks right there that have uncovered vast amounts in trunks loaded with US Treasury Bank notes....maybe you could work out a trade good for both of you....someone may be able to find the link....they had several pictures. Good luck.
