The piece is 3.5"×2.0" and <1mm thick. If look at the cut out it sorta looks like a half moon

Am i wrong, but the item i have is 3 separate pieces "attached" to one another? I can clearly see what look like "weld or solder lines". Did keyhole plates ever use a design similar to this. Are most keyhole face plates solid?
