I think whatever type L-rods work for you. We have seen some very good ideas for constructing rods, posted in dowsing threads here.

I have tried just about everything. I have used rods made from Plastic and wood. You can use some of those bendable soda straws. Everything seems to work. Some just work better than others..Art
