I think this was a piece of jewelry or decoration. The right side is broken off. Found in lassen county California

Not very clear what piece you're talking about but the piece to the right is a fragment of a bifurcated point. The piece next to the tape measure I'm not sure about.
 

Hmmm, looks a lot like the pieces of WWII artillery shelll frags we get here. Can't really tell. Frags would be brass.

Blown up artillery ordnance. It's a lot of places due to the government practicing. Plus, folks like me take it home and then lose some in the lawn. Could be anywhere. I'm great at losing things...

I can't tell from the pics whether its stone or metal...if stone, never mind.

It's a broken point, missing the tip and the other side of the base would have been similar to the not broken side.
