Please help identify

I found this at a thrift store today, it was marked 18 dollars with 30 percent off. Final cost was 12.60 with tax. I asked them what it was and they said they didn’t know. It is just over 23 inches tall and the base is 6 3/8 wide with the top being about 4 1/4 wide. Anyway I thought it was neat so I bought it. I has a lot of flaws in the glass such as distortion and bubbles also some of the surface feels like orange peel.

It has a seem so I'm thinking not hand blown, but factory. Cool but maybe a vase for long stemmed flowers?

it was unusual and for under 13 dollars I figured I could put coins or marbles in it. The seam is heavy towards the bottom, but is very light towards the top. It could very well be mass produced to have an old look about it.

I think you did OK on that.

I believe it's a 'floor vase' in a style sometimes popularly referred to as a 'spaghetti vase'... although it's not for storing spaghetti. As the name suggests, it's intended to stand on the floor, but with something long-stemmed in it... lilies, irises or whatever if you add water; or rushes, grasses and such if used dry.

No telling how old it is, but probably vintage at most. Here's a modern offering (22 inches tall) priced at $25

Well, I've seen them before. I just googled 'spaghetti vase' and that one came up as the most similar to yours... although it's probably not from the same maker.
