thumbnail.webpFound in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. VERY heavy for its size. I had part of it cut and it was EXTREMELY hard to cut with a 24 inch diamond blade saw. Vey smooth to the touch . It was in high elevation so i am guessing it was moved and deposited by the glaciers.

I got a red and black rock that looks similar to this.. will be interesting to see what it is.

can you post a pic of the cut side, if you were able to get it cut of course :)

See the green and black striped one in this pic? That's hornfels, looks nearly identical to what you have there
