Can somebody help me date this button and backmark? I believe it says W•R•S Plated. I believe the symbol is a fluer des leis (i probably butchered the spelling). It's about the size of a half dime or smaller. Thanks.

Since you asked for assistance:
The symbol in the button's backmark is not the Fleur-de-Lis of France. It is the "three Ostrich Plumes" symbol of the Prince of Wales, Britian... which fits with the "W&R S backmark being that of W&R Smith of Birmingham England in 1816 (as posted by Nhbenz and PBK).

Thank you for educating me on that! I see now! Thanks!
