Please Help Me Identify These Pieces.

If anyone has any information or can steer me in the right direction of what these pieces are or who they are made by it would be greatly appreciated. All I know is that they're 14inches tall, have no markings on them and have a swirl like glass pattern that is ribbed on the outside of them. I've searched tirelessly and haven't had any luck.

Are there any engravings on the bottom rim?
 

It's possible they could have been used to support glass shelves. I've seen something like that once in an old Butler Brothers catalog.They sold whole sale to merchants, and they also had some stores.
