Please help me identify this

Can someone please tell me what this is it weighs probably 3 pounds of solid steel or iron. I found it behind an old Cookhouse near anOld Logging Mill. Can someone help me identify it please

I have found a ton of stove legs... and I mean a ton! This isn't like any leg I have seen before. It has the exact same taper as an axe head handle

Maybe a broken drift for making axe heads

I'm going with the Blacksmith tool, Arrington hit pretty close I think, Better pics would help, I don't see any particular Hardy hole fittings. Will tell ya that if I was forging an axe head, that tool would be picked up and used to get the shape and taper needed, that would make the job easy.
