I can tell you that it's Irish silver. I believe it dates to 1843. Made in Dublin by Christopher Cummins. If i'm reading the marks correctly.

Thank you folks for the info. Very interesting. My son dug it up in the woods yesterday. I will have him take pictures of the front and back of the spoon and post them.

Nice spoon. Fiddle pattern with rat tail back (supporting the bowl).

Yea I thought it was pretty cool. I was surprised to find it in the middle of some woods. I'm even more surprised that it was made in the 1800s.
