Please Help with ID

I found this chunk of metal by an old house. Any ideas? It's about the size of a silver dollar, it's heavy for it's size, definitely seems to be iron.

Great ID! It is, indeed, a chunk of metal similar to those often found by old houses.

There's a lot of information you could include to help us help you; is it solid/hollow? Size? Material?- and if you don't know this it helps to include "heavy for its size" type of info., as it would indicate as I'm guessing that it's iron.
