PLease ID This padlock.

I found this in a field that was to be a city park in the 1880's-1900. There are no marks on it except a small "9" and a "4". It doesn't look new and is much prettier than a master lock. any Ideas on the make, and time it was make. Thank You for responses.

This warded brass padlock is probably around 100 years old.

Although it's listed in Arnall's book, The Padlock Collector, the maker is not identified.

However, an identical lock brought $25 in an auction back in 1997, and at that time it was attributed to the Slaymaker Lock Mfg. Co., c. 1907-17.
