this axe is a buddy of mine he has had it for years upon years, gave to him by his friend and hunting buddy arnold.
i have begged him for it forever. today he told me to get a picture of it and its owner.( he held up the axe and i took the pic), lol.
the other pic is a big 3 inch broken point. please let me know what you know about the axe so i can show him the comments, thanks

Neat find...I just found out that the axe pictured in my post was a Michigan Barbed Axe. Your's is much, much more prettier.

nice polish,great looking axe!! Jeff

Trev, I've heard mention, of strange indentations marks on the lowerer end or poll end of some pocket sized axes. The indentations on that ax look old. Was that ax found in a plowed field?

My comment is: What is on the plate? Looks good. It is afterall lunchtime here. LOL

PS Oh the axe....yeah...that's nice too.

Very nice! Anyone would be excited to have that in their collection! :D

what a beautiful axe! The polish is wonderful-- you should check out the examples they have on the Caddo Trading Compny's website ( www.caddotc.com ) to see how wonderful that axe really is. I was checking because I actually found one about a week ago-- and nearly fell over! So I did a little poking around to see what I had (a 61/2x2 inch 3/4 grooved). 'Course mine was in a river- covered w/ thick mossy algae stuff and has lost all its polish- if it ever had any. I consider it my prize for the year. Your friend has a beauty! And that broken point ain't bad neither ;) Happy hunting!!

ya know, trev, I've been battling the digital camera thing-- waiting for prices and quality to stabalize. I'm lazy. Maybe that's it. I've got to get that scanner up and running. I'm sorry. Soon.
