It is definitely Disney's Pluto, who is Mickey Mouse's pet dog. As a kid, I watched the Pluto cartoons, bought the comic-books he appeared in, etc.

WAY COOL! Don't really like Disney, but if you're gonna find Disney then Pluto is the way to go. I love dogs : )

Thanks so much mine was probably molded for the rubber, or it was a sample? Someone could have also made a mold from the rubber one and made a bronze figure?

Now, if Pluto is a dog, what is Goofy? Just askin'.

Both are dogs, Pluto was originally called Rover (1930). Goofy originally Dippy Dawg (1932).

WOW, I've never seen a bronze Disney figure like this. I'd contact a toy expert like Bertoia Auctions in New Jersey or Noel Barrett Auctions to see if it's anything special or just a home cast item. Neat find.

I think i am going to put it on ebay, as a rare brass or bronze disney pluto, and see what it does.

Looks really good for a dug brass item. Did you polish it?

No, i was also very suprised , it was about 6-8 inches down too, all i did was clean it with soap and water.

Go to a bookstore and check a Disney collectable book. That is free...
