The pic's need to be better , But it looks like peacock cooper, or opal . Got your self a good rock and gem book.

First guess is boulder opal for me. Mom in law just gave me three nice stone that look just like it. Funny thing is they are not Australian...They were found in Oregon...and yes there IS opal in Oregon.
