poached 2 boxes

last week when i was picking up my 16 boxes of halves a local pawn shop owner stopped me and started quizzing me about what i was doing. i tried my best to be evasive with him but he kept asking me questions aboutwhat i was doing with all those halves and what i was looking for. i answered him with the old looking for certain dates, trying to fill up a coin album, and looking for varieties and errors, etc and then he said "what about the silver?" i started to play dumb but i just answered his question--sometimes i find some but not all the time. the next day i went back to my supply bank and talked to my contact there and guess what he ordered 2 boxes for next week. well i was by the bank today and since this weeks supply will be delivered in a couple of days i asked did mr pawn shop order any for this week. the teller said no and he has not even picked up the 2 boxes we ordered for him last week, so i say i will be glad to take them. she gets them for me and i search them in the parking lot. got 11 40% kennedys. then i went to my dump bank and dumped the clad. sure don't want more competition here, but i am starting to get these questions all the time from somebody while i am in the bank picking up my supply....any suggestions?

Sometimes I tell the curious that "they are for a kids coin hunt at the park". I don't think carrying 16 boxes out would cut it tho. ffd

hmmm......well, for most of us, we just hide the box under our arms....

For you though, pulling the dolly and loading your haul up a ramp onto your flatbed semi-truck may be a little more difficult to conceal....

Perhaps, you could throw a small tarp over your dolly and 16 boxes and say that your a contractor working for the bank and repairing some equipment,

Or, you could say that your wheeling (using the tarp) out another dead bank president who died from the stress of the bailouts.....

Or, you could get a little ear piece, some blacked out shades, and a black jacket and say that your with the government..."You're interfering with this investigation sir, move along, nothing to see."

I just tell them I'm involved in a Top Secret Government project and if I told them what it was about.....well, you know the rest of the story. Most people fill in the end of the sentence, but some just give me a blank stare wondering if I'm nuts or for real. Usually it's good for a laugh and the question never gets answered. Try it sometime.

Tell them what I tell them when they get nosey. I fix slot machines, sometimes when I sell one, they want the money to go with it. It just saves them the trouble of going to the bank.

Had a friend order 2 from his Bank opened 10 rolls found nothing, he called me & sold me the rest & I too found nothing in the rest; he told me it is too tedious to do this so he wont do it again, he don't need too he is loaded- prior to Y2K he was into it big sold everything he could & bought over 200K in Gold under $300, still has most of it.
