Yeah...I tricked you guys. Sorry. I did well on the silver tonight, and I found a gold plated dime. When I find 1968 Canadians they usually aren't silver...when I pulled these particular coins by the rim I knew they were canadian, and the rims were so nice I thought they were newer Ni dimes. I saw the black tarnish right after I pulled them from the roll and knew they were silver. Both failed to stick to a magnet. Also snagged an ender...

$1250 in Dimes (5 boxes)
Box1: 1963D, 1943S Winged Liberty Head
Box2: 1964D
Box3: 1960D, 1961
Box4: 1963D, 1951, 1974 Gold Plated FDR
Box5: 1968 Canadian, 1964D, 1963D, 1963D, 1968 Canadian

Brings my dime average to 288 silvers from 198.5 boxes. 1.451/box!

Good job Dok. I am on an 8 box dime skunk streak! Something that doesn't happen often as my averages are similar to yours. Keep on working it.

HH Dave

Dimes blow in my area. I've only done 7 boxes ever, but out of those seven along with countless CWRs I've produced two silver dimes. Both were in the very first box.

Keep at it! The more you search, the higher your chances! You'll find it eventually.

Hi

Random question since I see you do machine wrapped paper dimes do you rewrap them, dump that at a coin machine or use a coin lock back and dump them at your local bank.

Thanks

I pick up coins @ my credit union, I also use that as my personal bank for everything but my home mortgage. The house loan is with Wells Fargo, so we have a checking account with them, and the home loan keeps it fee free. I have 8 Wells Fargo Branches in my area. I dump 2.5 boxes, loose, at each branch...2 branches a week. That way, I only hit the same branch once every 4 weeks...and make the tellers change the bag only 62.5% of the time, which keeps them happy. I also deposit them into my checking account, and then write myself a check from that account to my credit union account to start the whole cycle over again.

There used to be a censor here. Why is it not in anymore? It would help control this as a family friendly forum.
