I haven't gotten out hunting too much lately and the finds haven't been anything to write home about, so imagine my surprise when I stopped at the gas station and got both of these in my change! 1890 Indian and a '36 Washington..... Oldest coin and first silver of the new year and I didn't even have to try!

Sweet it's the economy, people are using the coin collection Grandma or Grandpa gave them not realizing they are worth more than face value.I used to work in a Mini-mart and kids would always come in with old coins to buy candy. My future Son-in-law was getting coins that way also.

That is how u beat the -10 winter weather ..hehe

NICE FINDS !!!

That's pretty cool, I thought about hunting some coin rolls while I wait for my MD to be shipped lol.

you went back...right?

Yeah, I would go back and ask for change for a dollar. Then go back and buy some gum. And a can of soda.

go back and get more change at that gas station(!!)

Thanks all! I wanted to go back for sure, but it's a pretty busy place in a fairly shady neighborhood, and I doubt they'd want to dig through the change for me.

WTG!!! That's how it's done! Treasure is where you find it!

Sure beats digging them.
