Does anybody recognize this as being from the fur trade era?
Found in an area occupied by Native Americans, then miners in the 1850's then again in the 1930's.
I'm calling it a "pocket flute" until someone corrects me.
For some reason it feels like something that might be older than 1850's..don't know why.
Maybe because it's crudely fashioned and simple.
