Pocket watch

I got this pocket watch from my grandma, and she told me that my granddad got it from his granddad. I was wondering if anyone got any type of info about it, like brand, value and when it was made.

i have spent 30 minutes researching your watch using the Lagonda sir name and can find nothing except there was a 1907 car line that merged with Aston Martin and they have made a few specialty watches . but i do not think they made this,
i sudgest you take it to a watch or jewelry repair shop and have them open it and look for any maker names and information in the back and try to ID it after that .

Usually the back on those will open like the front. There may even be a second flap on the back. But that is where you usually find the name and sometimes the date made. If you don't have too much luck on the internet, there is a very good id book out on pocket watches.

and when you do post photos of the inside. but to my eye it looks modern, but then I am no expert either...

Lagonda is listed as one of the "lost" Brands on the "Watch Forum", but no dates are mentioned. This thread was listing all the watch brands that had disappeared or swallowed up by other companies over the years.

As for finding any examples on the web, I came across a few Lagonda watches on various sales sites, but all were listed as 50's and 60's.

I got my hands on a similar watch. Cant find any stamps and I cant find any info on it. Anyone?
