Point or Drill?

I found this point in Utah last year on private property. It has tangs, but it’s very narrow. Do you think it’s a point that’s been resharpened several times (creating the narrowness) or is it a drill that could have been hafted?

It's a beautiful piece whatever it's function. Are the edges of the tip worn smooth as it might be if it spent a lot of time twisting through materials like drills sometimes do?
