Well that worked. The rock is Norwood chert which is found in Lake Michigan north of Norwood, Michigan. Not many places that you can find knapping rock in Michigan. The point came in too heavy to hunt with at 170 grains so I will turn it into a necklace for some one.

This is one of the materials that knaps best when hydrated. I soaked the rock for a few days before knapping.
