Hi all. I found this piece of polished agate at a lakeshore site where I’ve found some arrowheads. However it is very smoothly polished and symmetrical so I’m starting to think it may just be modern. It is cylindrical with the edge indented. Anyone have thoughts as to its age or purpose? I’ve included a penny for scale.

I don't know friend. It looks like an ear spool though.

I think it’s a modern ear spool at that. I’ve seen a few fools with them in their lobes recently...

Modern Ear Guage. They start with smaller ones like this and keep expanding to the desired size. I've see some guys and girls both with some big Spools in their lobes.

Thanks for the replies! It definitely seems like a modern ear spool.
