Polished bone?

[Older The Better]

Found this piece of bone in a midden it has a different texture to it and and appears very thick, I was curious if it had been used as a tool. I don’t have much experience with bone artifacts around here because it doesn’t hold up in the soil so I’ll see if some of you can tell.

Here’s a comparison to a piece I found in the same hole same day, it’s much more normal for the bone I find, with the more rough weathered texture.
