After growing up in Chicago I know how things work there and after having 3 governor's doing time in jail and look who' running this country some one from Ill. so do you guys really going to trust some one from here to speak for miners rights

Sorry fishnfacts, no harm intended, figured this thread wouldn't be long for the world due to the political nature so I thought I'd have a little fun with it. To answer your original question- I have no answer -it's a lot easier spotting the bad ones than the good ones.

Being from Chicago I have nothing to bring to the table but everything to take away. This was not meant to be a bash politics (And if it goes that way please delete ASAP) but just wondering if we had any members that would be able to run for office and help the cause. Maybe when I relocate for good I will consider some sort of political position, Always wanted to be a fat cat. Anyways thanks for all your support and hope the heck that there is somewhere a politician or family member of a politician that can voice some truth in mining.

thing is, anytime a individual that has the courage to run for office and is truly for the people’s rights, all ya have to do is look no further then the media
Most all miners know the benefits of dredging (we have 98 reasons for why we should dredge, that other green group has 2 reason and their winning)
Who in their right mind would step up running for office and the mantra/slogan, we the people( media would have a hay day with that) support dredgers, or support the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] not here in California, (some do try)
We dredgers (Some whom depend on this for income) are going the way of the loggers,
California State Bills have eliminated jobs not created, til the economic impact is felt by all tax payers, ani’t s$^t gonna change

Russ- I'd love to see the great state of Misery, after all it's one of the best starting points for the history I hold so near and dear in Ca. No offense but I think I'll give it awhile to settle down before heading that way. Keep your head down and watch your six

Both of them have a great knowledge of mining and have been super helpful both here on the forum as well as their setting up of the LandMatters site.

Of course they're both too smart to want to get into politics.......
