"Poptop Field" or "better in the backyard"

There's a field in back of an old bunglow colony that I've had permission to detect for a couple of weeks now. Funkman come over and we checked it out with our detectors today.

There's more poptops there than you can shake a detector at! Those tops and cans gave us a workout. I found some clad and a valve wrench. Funkman found a 50s Pepsi bottle, a glass whatsit and some clad.






We broke for lunch and I made my famous "Burnt-Bottom Wall Mart Pizza" From an old secret family recipe, which was enjoyed by all . I'd give the recipe but it involves a 4000 deg. oven, and after all it is a secret!

After lunch we hit my backyard...a couple of pieces of scrap, some clad and Funkman found this:



The first silver to be pulled from my yard. Now that the ice is broke, maybe I will have some luck also.

I hate pulltabs...I always dig them and always hope for something else!

Pulltabs are like cancer, if you don't get the whole tab....they grow back. At least that's what it seems like.

At least you gave it the old college try. Don't give up on the place just yet! The YARD seems like a great place to detect and you don't even have to leave home.....hehe WTG....HH
