Just dug these from a Victorian trash pit. I know for many these little broken shards have little value, but they do help interpret the site as to the type of usage the household had at their disposal. I always retrieve all the pieces and epoxy them back together and record them in a site journal. Both of these, an Alfred Meakin Tea Rose plate and an unknown maker's sugar bowl lid are about to be going into surgery. It's a lot of work but I think it is worth it. Found a small medicine slick as well.
