porcelain smoking pipes

I believe they're both German and from the 1800s, but that's about all I know of them. Looks like a battle scene and a romantic scene. Not sure how to date them. One of them has belauschte liebe written on bottom. Could anyone tell me a bit more about them. Thanks

Not much help, but it means "love exchanged"

Not sure why pipes would have an end that looks like something screws onto it. Neat.

The above site is a discussion on porcelain pipes. I found some available on ebay for around ten dollars.

It might be an opium pipe, or one of those pipes that I've seen some men smoke from in the Swiss Alps, missing the long woden stem...
