✅ SOLVED Possible antique scale weight?

All, found this possible antique scale weight near the site of a former general store. On the first picture there appears to be a circle in the lower half with an upside down 2. However, it is not iron like most I've seen on the internet. It is also non-magnetic and feels light weight for its size, almost like aluminum. Any input on the ID and/or age is appreciated.

Might be a shim of some type.

Funny. People are suggesting the part in your other thread might be a hood latch.
I'm gonna suggest this might be part of a hood latch.
