Hi All

I went back to that creek in South Jersey and I found these two items. I “think” the rock with the notches appears to be an arrowhead but you guys are the experts - what do you think? I don’t see any scars but I know weathering could have played a role. I think Charl’s Information about Lockatong Argillite is so true. The other piece looked strange to me - but it could very well be nothing. Let me know what you guys think. Don’t worry I will not post every item I find asking fo ID 😜. I’m learning! Dime for scale.

I don’t believe they are looks way to rough even for a old weathered rock but let’s see what others think

Though it looks like an arrowhead it is actually just some eroded stones.

Second that on the all natural weathered stone.. too soft of stone to be a arrowhead. But it does look cool. Looks like a naturally formed fish;)

Sorry, they are natural weathered stones not artifacts.

Thanks everyone your expertise. Yeah that one rock looks like a fish. Haha. Thanks again!

The best info I have gotten here is to watch a video about flintknapping, it will make a huge difference next time I go out.
