Found this a while back. I have no idea what it is. It has some threading on it and it is a very tough metal that is not pliable with the hands. It is severely mangled like it exploded out of something. It kind of looks like an empty bullet cartridge after it has been fired. I think there are pieces of iron inside it. Any ideas? 002.webp003.webp

Definitely not an artillery, grenade, or rocket fuze/fuze-adapter.

The threaded area on it appears to be approximately 1/2-inch wide and 3/16-inch long, which is unusually short for something that screws into something else. That detail might help somebody here identify it.

Looks like the top of a metal squeeze tube similar to old style toothpaste tubes.

I was thinking along the same lines as Taz. But I thought the top off of an old spray can of some sort. The metal inside could be part of the valve system and the threaded area is where the cap screwed on.

The only picture I can find of what I'm talking about. The 2nd can from the left.
