I found this 64 button while metal detecting in Germany recently. From other buttons I've researched it seems this is French in design and possibly from Napoleons time frame. I have found that there was indeed a 64e Regiment but I have been unable to locate any other 64 button images. In fact the other French buttons from that era are slightly different as well. None of them have the inner circle like the one in my photo. Is anybody able to positively identify this for me? Thanks.
