I was on the beach in Southern Cali yesterday and my V3i showed a 1/2 dollar to 1 dollar coin with a hard hit of VDI 92 to 93. I dug these up. I took it home and it buffed to silver shine. I did the ice trick to it for silver and it melted the almost instantly and took on all the cold. My guess is silver but not real sure how this made it to this shape. And there MAY be a couple of symbols on it. Can anyone give me their opinion?

I can't say for sure what it is. You need to have it tested.

Cool find though. If it is silver it'll be one really nice hunk of it.

That is what placer native silver can look like and the weight is about right (maybe a bit light). The simple thing to do is an acid test. If you don't have one, a jeweler will.

I hope that chunk is silver. Let us know after it is tested .

I love your nails! Pretty
Hope it's silver, take it to a jeweler they can test it easy for free! :-)

Sorry sweetie it looks like melted aluminum to me. So Cal beaches aren't know for silver slag. But aluminum from the fire pits is possible. But I'm no expert so by all means have it looked at. Good luck out there

give us some good shots of the markings
