Hello,somewhat related story...as a child my dad had always told me of a story he heard growing up as a child in Renovo,PA. a cival war paymaster traveling along the Sinnamahoning creek/river and lost a shipment of gold&silver coin,the area was supposed to be from the 1st.fork of sinnamahoning to Renovo,PA.the first metal detector i saw was one my dad bought in 1966 just for that reason,never found the cache but he obviously beleived the tale.maybe i'll go&try when i get a better detector,thanks for listening!
