I have heard that pottery chards have no value other than educational
never the less I will save a nice rim piece
are these interesting to any one?
Once or twice a summer I can get a real hard thunderstorm which usualy exposes some thing like these

If you ask me,they are an artifact also. We find lots of pottery on the Fort Ancient Sites that we hunt. We always save the rim pieces. Also save the ones with nice designs, or handles on them. That is some fine looking pieces that you have. Thanks for sharing them.

I would definitely save pieces like that. As far as i'm concerned pottery shards are just as cool as other artifacts.

Thankyou Paleojoe,
I was told that pottery pieces had no value other than educational only
One time we found one with some handles on it
I will try to post a few more images if you like

There may be no value but the artistic and historical value is worth keeping. We can pick up buckets full and we do sometimes. This is what we do with ours and we give to friends. There is much to know in each sherd. Hope it was ok to share my idea on your post.
Cheers.

I do the same as Paleojoe in that I keep the rim pieces and the ones with designs. What your showing have more detail than the pieces I have.
