If it isn't pottery it could be a piece of that curved roofing tiles.
 

True, not much of that type of roofing material is used around here but who knows. It just seemed kinda of thick to me to be pottery but I don't have much experience with it to really say.
 

Could it be an old clay type of drain pipe from those old mills.:dontknow:
 

That could be. So I think the concensus is that its probably not NA pottery. I'll keep it anyway though.
 

Looks like field drainage tile. JMO.
 

I agree with the folks that think it is part of a clay drainage or sewer pipe. JMHO

You all are probably right. There are all kinds of metal artifacts laying around, horseshoes and chunks of iron. Several handmade brick in the river too. Funny thing is so far no points.
 

I was googling colonial pottery because I found a different kind of shard in the creek (posted in the what is it section) but thinking it could be something colonial. Some of the stuff I saw they made wasn't too refined, could be something from that time period. I would keep it too, never know, the answer will happen if you keep looking.
