These states down here are even known for many tornados, not like the plains. Oklahoma, Kansas is especially bad

Yeah it was a hard day and night for some folks down south. Here in central Alabama we just had some downed trees and power lines.

Glad to see y'all are okay. No matter how bad things get, I always think things could have been worse.

We got hit hard again! January 2nd brought a devastating storm that damaged a great portion of the town I work in. Then, this past weekend at least 8 tornadoes touched down in the south Georgia area killing at least 15 people and injuring many more. I had high winds, small hail and 8+ inches of rain at my house but escaped unharmed and undamaged. 4 people were killed less than 5 miles from my house Sunday afternoon. Click on the "Pray for south Georgia" box at the top of the page for storm news.

fyrfftr1, that sounds nasty.

Take care down there.

I hope you live in a brick house.

I do, but even brick houses were no match for these storms. It was kind of funny that the screens blew off my windows but dead limbs on the trees in my back yard did not fall!

Think I'll stay in Grants Pass, OR. I really DO feel for the people caught in fires, floods, tornadoes etc. Can't know as to how I would deal with it, mabey having to lose everything. Hard way to go. Wish you all the best of luck, everywhere.
