Beautiful plates.

Not just good enough...that is great! And the soldiers initials to boot...I'm new to alot of the terminology....why are these called baby plates?

They mainly come in 2 sizes. The larger ones are more common. Gary

A nice plate plus a 1730's coin. It doesn't get much better than that in a day. Gary

Who needs quantity when quality comes a knocking. Congrats on the plate and the copper, a great hunt.

Congrats on your US CW Baby Plate find! :hello2:
Great to see you out there already swinging Dave, the ground is still frozen in my area.

Hope you have a great year buddy,
Dave

Pretty sure all the pre Civil War plates were smaller in the 1830's-40's. Then towards the war they increased in size

Nice plate Dave. The KG with date is a nice find too.

The soldiers' initials make this a banner post in my book. My vote is in!

I just placed my banner vote too. I hope it gets there soon!
