They said all the AT coils work on it from what I read.

I Have the Nel Attack for my AT Pro, and the NEL Tornado for my AT Gold. I love both coils, as I do believe they provide a little more depth and definitely better ground coverage. I have read the coils will work on the AT Max, but I don't understand how that is possible since Nel says their AT Pro coils will not work on the AT Gold and the their AT Gold coils will not work on the AT Pro. My understanding is Nel coils are tuned to the specific frequency of each machine and therefore will not work on a machine with a different frequency. If that is the case, how will these coils work on the AT Max?

I have the hots for the AT Max. But, I feel that Garrett should have advertised the Max once their warehouse was full and Dealers already had them in stock. I slipped and told my wife that I was going to get her one (upgrading from her Ace 250) And I let her down by telling her that the dealers do not have them yet . I should have kept my yap shut and just surprised her when it was delivered to our home.
