Hi all After the real big bush fires in resent years, finally a proper fire control programme is in place.I knew about the burn off for a couple of months. Was delayed for a while due to the very wet spring and winter we have had. I noticed the smoke at work last week and that made my day.So i have taken a week off to go hunt these area which until now, were very over grown. You cannot swing a coil in this sort of undergrowth. few digging from the gold rush which i didn,t know about Hit the first site in a place called JackAss Flat. Found a farthing [willaim] 1926 silver sixpence tombuc button small and an old horse bit and 3 small buckles. cash coin

Thanks for the post Tinpan and the pictures. It's great that the
controlled burn opened up some more sites for you to explore.
GL and hope you find some more keepers there.

Cool finds. I have some brushy areas here I wish they would burn!

I don't know where you live but here in FL the ranchers do controlled burns every year, it makes for good hunting but you get really really dirty. :laughing7: :laughing7:
