Present conditions on the Treasure Coast?

I am heading home to Melbourne beach on October 5th 2013 for my Moms funeral. I will be there for a week and feel the need to do some treasure hunting to break up the mood of the trip. I was hoping someone could give me an idea of the current beach conditions, is it still mostly sanded in, dredged etc... Are there any storms or wind events predicted in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for any info.

Sorry for your loss, still dealing with soft and mushy renourishment sand on the treasure coast, some small cobs have been found in recent weeks on some of the treasure beaches, and misc modern jewelry and clad. Still can not beat the view for swinging.
