Some of you may have seen my recent post documenting findings on a Potomac River site. I spent six solid days there with no internet, no television - just me, the beautiful Virginia autumn foliage and the occasional bald eagle soaring high over the river. As I had my coffee and watched the sunrise on my last morning, I was looking through my finds. What I saw before me was a tangible, historical timeline; everything from colonial to modern day. I couldn't help but visualize the generations that had walked the area before me and I took pleasure in knowing that the relics I had a recovered would be preserved. We all know that feeling. That's why we do what we do. Tomorrow we all have the opportunity to celebrate our history, and influence our future. "We the People" will decide which candidate will best help us "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity". So, please get out tomorrow and participate in preserving the spirit of our most precious relic, the Constitution of the United States of America!
