There was snow all over the ground today so I decided to dig a little trash dump near my house. Found an IH a couple of small overall buttons, an arrow head, and a two piece Waterbury button that I think says MMA on it. If anyone could find any info on the button that would be great.
Happy hunting!

Any advice on digging out the dump sites? I know where there are real old abandoned homestead dump holes. Do you go slow and pull stuff out one at a time or just start shoveling it out fast to get down deep? I know what I'm doing detecting but I never attempted a old dump. Is it that common to find things worthwhile in them? I know there can be some good bottles and the odd relic sometimes.

I believe that is "MWA"........"Modern Woodman of America", a fraternal organization.
Love the point! Nice finds!

Take a hand rake and go slow and easy raking the dirt away as you go deeper down.

Thanks and any advice is welcome. When the ground thaws I will give the dumps a try.

Very nice arrow head!

Those are very cool finds, I'd love to see the arrowhead cleaned up, closeup shot.
