Pretty nice drill of somesort?

It's 3 sided and extremely well made, tip is still needle sharp! From what I'm gathering it may be an awl or drill. Anyone know for sure what it could have been used for?

beautiful! i have several very small points. we jokingly call them mouse points. just imagine being trapped inside a shelter during a storm, playing shoot the mouse with the kids, all the while mom "the boss" throws a fit! what a riot! seriously, maybe it was made by smaller hands;children, learning. i have found many awkward looking points in sites that produce some of the best i have found. just a thought. HH

That's a thought paleo. But it has a very symetrical triangular cross section, hard to make out the details with my scanner. That's why I'm leaning towards awl/drill. Being 3 sided, to me that rules out it being a point. But you never know.

I never thought about kids learning to knap! I guess they'd have to practice wouldn't they? What an abstract thought, love it.
